    Layer Family Photo Session {JB Photography}

    What do you get a man who has everything? This is the question I often ask myself when it comes to my grandfather’s birthday. He is turning 81 and has just about everything he could dream of. Of course I am a planner and started thinking of ideas months in advance. And one day while on one of my walks I came up with an idea; why not do a whole family session! So the planning began. Of course I was nervous, as I wanted this session to go perfect. I first had to make sure that everyone could come once the date and time was situated things went surprisingly…

    How to have a successful photo-shoot on the spectrum!

    Planning a photo session with kids can be stressful, but planning a photo session when your child has Autism can become next to impossible. Many questions will start come to mind. How will my child react? How will the photographer react? Will he have a meltdown? Will we even get a good picture? When my son was diagnosed with Autism earlier this year the first thing I did was start researching, joining Facebook groups and reaching out to others who have Autism. I will never claim to be an expert on the subject but after reading post from others I realized how lucky I am that my son grew up…

    Mr. C Newborn Session {JB Photography}

    I have been photographing the F family for sometime now, so when I found out that mom was expecting you can only imagine my excited! Knowing the F family very well I know they are very laid back and fun loving. They often let me take the lead in my sessions. So when planning the session for Mr. C it was up to me on what to bring, and I have to admit, I had to hold back on bringing everything! The session, though long, allowed us to capture Mr. C in his loving surroundings.

    Mr. A is one! {JB Photography}

    I LOVE watching my littlest clients grow and I love capturing those special moments for them! One thing that I have learned as a photographer is that things don’t always go as planned. When we planned Mr. A’s session, we planned it on his first birthday party. Without realizing it, the poor little guy was so worn out that he wasn’t having any of the pictures. So we decided so reschedule so that we can catch him in a better mood. Thankfully that worked wonderfully and we got some wonderful smiles!

    Simply Sweet Mini Sessions {JB Photography}

    I love doing themed sessions but sometimes you need to get back to the basics! This year I decided to combine my daddy and me and mommy and mini sessions into one set of session. I wanted something simple that would really focus on the families and the people in the photo. I used one of my favorite areas of the park which has been given a huge face lift in the last few months and as you can see below the sessions turned out beautifully!

    Catherine and Nicolas Wedding {JB Photography}

    Catherine and Nicolas contacted me earlier in the year. They married at a destination wedding but wanted to celebrate with friends and family. So you can only imagine the excitement I had when they booked with me! The day though a bit hectic was beautiful. Everyone came with big smiles and the day went so well!

    Spring Mini Sessions {JB Photography}

    I love spring time! The weather starts to warm up and I get to start planning sessions. This year’s Spring Mini Sessions where similar to last years with a few changes. I wanted to make my teepee more spring like and make it a bit more country. I also added a few things to my Lemonade stand which really made things pop and you and with the Easter setup, it added the icing on the cake! I also love to use the area around me which offers some great non-themed pictures!
