    Jausel Wedding {JB Photography}

    I had the great honor of photographing Kim and Bryan’s wedding. The wedding took place at The Oriental Gardens at Gordon Moore Park. The day was warm but beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple or family to photograph! One of the things I always try to capture at weddings is the groom’s reaction when the bride walks down the aisle.   The ceremony was short but very sweet. They were surrounded by their family and friends.  After the Ceremony, we went straight to the formals which is one of my many favorite parts of photographing weddings! The night ended with the reception.

    Maggie and Rocky {JB Photography}

    This year has been a big year for me when it comes to pet and animal photography. I have really found the joy of photographing people’s furry friend, so when Maggie and Rocky came to me for a session I was excited. Working with dogs is similar to working with toddlers. They are hyper and have a plan on their own. But, that is the fun in my job and I am always up for a challenge. Rocky was a sweetheart, though we had to do some coxing to look at the camera but as you can see we managed to capture some great photos of Maggie and Rocky!

    Unicorn/Cowboy Mini Sessions

    This year I am very excited to announce a new and exciting mini session. Unicorn and Cowboy mini sessions are both mystical and fun and perfect for both boys and girls. The session includes 30-minute session and 10 digital images of your choice with a print release. These sessions are for those who can sit unassisted and are comfortable around horses. The best part of these sessions is that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Happy Hooves Equine Rescue.   Happy Hooves Equine is a rescue that provides care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. So, come out and support a great cause while getting some adorable…

    Megan and Jr {JB Photography)

    Megan and Jr have been using my services for some time now. They are always so much fun to work with and I love coming up with new and creative setups for them. I just so happened to get a brand new teepee that I was excited to try out so I decided to set it up for this session. We also used a new location that I never used before in Edwardsville and found it absolutely amazing!

    Watson Wedding {JB Photography}

    I always adore photographing weddings. There’s so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Chris and Elaina’s wedding, either! Their wedding day was truly noteworthy. The weather was being iffy with a lot of storms in the area but we where all determined to get some outdoor pictures taken. We started out our session at the River City Casino. As you can see below it made for a beautiful background for photos. Trying to beat the rain we then headed to Cliff Cave park. I never been to this park before so…

    Simply Sweet Mini Sessions {JB Photography}

    Simply sweet mini sessions are one of my favorite mini sessions I hold each year. It really brings me back to when I first started out and used very little props. I really enjoy having the focus on the families that I photograph as that is what I want people to look back on, the people and not the props. As you can see I had some very lovely families this year! Everyone showed up ready to smile!   Thankfully for the first day the weather was wonderful. The sun was shinning and it wasn’t too hot. But unfortunately the second day was a bit different. Thankfully I was able…

    Prairietown Fire Department {JB Photography}

    One of the great things about being a photographer is the people that I meet! So you can only imagine my excitement when I was asked to photograph the Prairietown Fire Department. This group was fantastic to work with and as you can see they are very proud of the new firetrucks that they recently acquired. And as you can see, we had a wonderful session!

    Look who is 2! {JB Photography}

    Let me begin by saying that I had the greatest time doing the session I’m about to post. I have worked with the Jr before and I always love every minute of it and this session was no different. This session we used Gordon Moore Park. They have some great trees that give us a wonderful background and also some well-needed shade on hot days.     Jr Loves Paw Patrol, playing outside and bath time.  His favorite prop to play on was my tricycle, which is where we got the most smiles on. but with some coaxing, we managed to get him on my crate as well. Hopefully, I’ll…

    Headley Family {JB Photography}

      Hi again, Let me stop for a second to tell you that I am seriously the luckiest photographer in the world. My clients are always so amazing to work with. That’s true of my session with the Headley family, too! I met up with them at Gordon Moore Park and the weather was perfect for photo-taking. We had the perfect sunny and warm day that made for excellent pictures!   “As for the whole family we love the outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting,” says Angela.   While the weather was fine, it was the Headley family that made this shoot such a success. The Headley family consists of Angela (mom) Jon…

    Jarret Class of 2018 {JB Photography}

    Welcome back! Today I want you to meet Jarret. Athletic, funny and handsome are the words that come to mind when I think about this young man. Jarret is a senior at Civic Memorial High School. Jarret enjoys running track, fishing, and weightlifting. In fact, he holds state records in the state of Illinois! For Jarrett’s session, he chose three locations that fit his personality perfectly. We started off at Lewis and Clark College, then headed to downtown Alton, we then ended up at the high school. Jarrett was so very laid back for his session and his personality fit the locations perfectly!   Jarret says the one thing he…
